Smudge is one of those horses that is 'in your face' quiet. It is impossible to go out to the pasture or barnyard and not pat Smudge. She has a bold and curious nature with a very pleasing attitude.
This filly has a nice balanced body with a pretty face, beautiful neck and shoulder, nice topline and quarters, and correct legs. We are so happy with the way this girl has developed into a beautiful mare. Smudge was started under saddle this spring by our son Royce. He quickly fell in love with this filly and soon had her carrying him about without the aid of saddle, bridle, halter or rope. He just used voice commands and laid his hand on her neck to steer her. What a filly, you can't find one more willing than that!!
We purchased Smudge as a weanling with her dam Solstice in Octoer of 2006. She is named for the white mark on her face that you just want to brush off.
