This sweet girl arrived on May 3, 2009. She somehow made it under the fence in with all the other horses. Her Gramma, Delight took very good care of her so she didn't get hurt. Delight kept all the other nosey horses away from her. It proved to be a bit of a challenge to get the foal away from Delight and back to Jez. Notelle and Jez didn't take any time at all bonding and Notelle turned into quite the clingy Moma's girl.
Her first year saw basic handling including halter training and foot training but she saw most of her summer out on green pasustures. Come fall she took her turn standing in a tie stall with the rest of the band. She took weaning pretty hard the first day, but she resorted to attaching herself to her cousin, Kah Ching (also a weanling). This girl is one needy gal! On the up side, she attaches to her person the same way. She now stands calmly and queitly in her tie stall of the barn without any of her buddies for company. She never did put up any kind of struggle, at her worst, she was just back and forth as far as her rope would allow her and was very vocal. As she has matured, she is a little more secure and is content to find security with her person.
Notelle has great presence. She is very up-headed and carries herself with pride. Her persoanlity is so sweet, she just wants to please. Her conformation is exceptional as well. She has flawless legs, impecible feet, dishy face with perfect ears and nostrils, big eyes, clean throat, long neck, short back, great shoulder and a nice hip. She looks like papa and has mama's personality. Not a bad thing, in fact it's a great thing. She is living up to her name, whats not to love!
