MIA-MAR LOVE BEAT
Above picture is courtesy of June Hudy. The others were taken this summer out in the pasture and this fall at home.
This colt is Loverboy's first son. His dam usually foals first, so she was a little put out by the fact that all the other mares had their babies before her. I'm not sure if is because of her being last to foal or if it is because she has never had a son before, but she is sure proud of this boy! As always she is a good mother and takes him away as soon as she sees you looking her direction. It is difficult to get a picture of him as she is so protective. All the horses across the fence want to see Star's new son too, as she is a dominant mare and she proudly shows off, being careful that nobody gets too good a look.
The drum theme continues with this guy too. His name needing to have 'love' in it as well will be 'Love Beat'. We will call him L.B. for short.
The more I work with this guy the more I like him. His physical beauty is obvious, but his mind and spirit are just as gorgeous. He is a 'thinking' colt and he works things through in his mind. I love to just observe him figuring things out. This is a darling colt with beautiful features. LB is absolutely stunning. He is conformationally correct and has pizzaz to boot. This guy knows he is special and carries himself accordingly. I cannot get enough of this colt. He is just as friendly as the other foals this year too. The day he was born, he nearly fell over when I was scratching his bum. He is quite eager to have some human attention, and now his mama lets him follow you around. I love his dark, rich coloring as well. He is just gorgeous. I cannot fault him in any way.
