Aletta

I liked Aletta as soon as I laid eyes on her. Her owner at the time refused to sell her to me though. November of 2006, to my good fortune, I was able to acquire her. I jumped at the opportunity to own this exquisite mare. So, Aletta made the trip to our farm.

Aletta

Aletta has given us a beautiful bay colt in 2007. We did not breed her in 2007 as we wanted a year to ride her. In the spring of 2008 we bred her to our stallion, Marvelous Robert. She will once again take her place as a valued brood mare, passing on her distinguished breeding.

Aletta

Greg claimed this beautiful mare for himself, but he rode her less than anyone else in the family. The summer of 2008, Greg was able to work with her more. He was looking forward to learning to ride english on her but that didn't happen. Aletta was be used as a saddle horse in the fall, after her babies were weaned. This is our favorite time of year to hit the trails anyway.

This mare very quickly endeared herself in our hearts. She is the first horse to call out or softly nicker to you. She would never intentionally harm anyone around her. Aletta fits well into the heard and it is seldom that you find her in a quarrel with another horse.

Aletta

Aletta has a beautiful sculptured face with perfect tippy ears. She has a shapely neck and nice shoulder. Her chest is broad as is her barrel. When you are sitting on her back, you know you have a horse under you! She has a nice hip and clean, straight legs. She has the carriage that you would expect of a Morgan, big, round, ground covering action that starts from the shoulder. She produced some great babies for us bred to Marvelous Robert and I expect great things out of these SILVER DAPPLE boys, so stay tuned!

Aletta

At the age of 25, Aletta's producing years are over. This last foal proved difficult for her to carry and nurse. She will not be bred again to preserve her health. Because she is retired from her broodmare career, she will spend her retirement with her long-time friend Jan Bourdon. They are both looking forward to their reunion. I feel very honored to have had such a fantastic mare in my breeding program and I just want her to spend the rest of her golden years in leisure... with the only person in the world that could possibly love her more than I do.
